BYD India is ready to throw Sealion 7 electric SUV in the market today, with the expected price range to be officially out in the early hours of the day.
The car that first saw daylight at the Bharat Mobility Show might come as a premium electric SUV but has some great prospects of being the company’s fourth electric offering in India.
Powertrain & Performance
Powered by 82.56 kWh battery, the BYD Sealion 7 offers a great range of 567 km when fully charged. There are two options for an SUV:
✅ Performance (AWD) – This is nothing but a beast with 523bhp and 690Nm of torque, and it can make it to 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. Nonetheless, the manufacturer promises a reduction to 542km in the declared range.
✅ Premium (RWD) – produces 308bhp and 380Nm, all of this is being offered with the same battery capacity but a slightly less performant car.
While the Sealion 7 model comes in the form of different batteries for the global market, for the Indian market however, only the 82.56 kWh only with two trims is to be sold.
Design & Features
A fastback-silhouetted Sealion 7 designed on the principles of a low wind resistance and positive road characteristics is the most striking of the autos. The car will only be available in four exterior colors, which only adds to its unique design. This will be a smart cabin with a fully digital dashboard, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and a high-quality interior.
Bookings & Expected Price
BYD at this moment is conducting reservations for the event called Sealion 7 at its booking location for the sum of ₹70,000. The company’s first launch that is consumer ready in India is expected in the premium EV segment.
