GTA 5 Enhanced Edition introduced Ray Tracing effects on the PC version. To be specific, it now includes RTGI, RTAO, RT shadows, and RT reflections. Sometimes, these RT effects can actually make the game look much better but reflections specifically looked blurry and looked it could not be helped without ray reconstruction but a modder has found a way to make them better
Modder BadassBaboon, who created the RealityV Mod for GTA 5, has another mod in development for it as well. The mod is regarding greatly improving the game’s Ray Tracing reflections, and below are some of the screenshots of it.
As the modder himself put it, the game assets were not renewed to be able to fully use the brand new ray tracing. The ray-traced reflections are therefore not as mind-blowing in the vanilla version. Puddles, reflective surfaces, glasses and windows will be nicer with this V:DE add-on, though. BadassBaboon says his mod will allow the game to make use of RT to its fullest. At least as far as its reflections go.
Modder hasn’t provided an ETA yet as to when this mod will be released. But here you can see some screenshots of it. These screenshots will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. Keep in mind, however, that the mod is still WIP. So, these shots do not reflect the quality of the final product.
It’s also interesting that the NaturalVision team is also working on one for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition. NaturalVision was indeed one of the finest graphical mods for GTA 5. So, I guess I am looking forward to this. Currently, there is no release date for it.
